In the past it was common for men in the Navy to brandish their skin with tattoos signifying their service and dedication to the Navy and to one another. However, as time has evolved it is no longer a common trend for Navy servicemen to brand their bodies with tattoos as a sign of their service. Still, there are many Navy men who still keep this trend going today.

Navy SEALs, considered the most elite branch of the armed forces, will naturally have a large dedication and following among regular citizens.
