Series: Five Knots Of The Navy SEALs – Part 5: Right Angle Knot

In past articles in this series we covered how to tie a square knot, a bowline knot, and a clove hitch knot. The fourth knot to be covered in the “Five Knots Of The Navy SEALs” series is the “right angle knot”. This knot is very basic and if you know how to tie the clove hitch then you already know how to tie the right-angle knot.

Series: Five Knots Of The Navy SEALs – Part 4: Clove Hitch Knot

In this series, “Five Knots Of The Navy SEALs” we have already covered how to successfully tie both a square knot and a bowline knot. It is recommended that you learn how to tie both of those knots before moving on to the clove hitch. However, as a Navy SEAL you will need to be able to effectively tie all three of these knots.

Series: Five Knots Of The Navy SEALs – Part 1: Introduction

There are many skills that all Navy SEAL candidates must master during their training. One such skill is that of knot tying. All Navy SEALs are required to learn 5 specific knots. During their training they are taught how to tie each of these knots, however, it is recommended that anyone who is considering becoming a Navy SEAL, to begin learning these five knots in advance. The more skilled that you are at effectively tying these knots the more apt you are to excel at this part of your training.
