I have always heard others say that we people in sales are such smooth talkers. I don’t exactly know if that is true – but I’ve been a sales representative for the better part of my adult life, and I am proud to say that I have been successful at it thus far. Ok, so I may be a smooth talker – but I also am a heck of a writer (no room for false humility here!).
I’ve got a job in sales, but I can say that I have a career in writing — if you know exactly what I mean, then I’ll bet you’re having a great time doing what you do. I can take my career with me wherever I choose to go, which is a good thing as I do move around a lot – and not exactly because I have to. After all, what do you do when you have friends scattered in all four corners of the globe? That’s certainly an opportunity that I wouldn’t pass up, so every once in a while I stuff my duffle bag and fly away to who-knows-where.
Hopping around the continents like a restless jumping bean has allowed me to learn a foreign tongue or two. Ok, so I can speak five, but who’s counting? Certainly not the poor customer service reps over at my fave USNavySEALStore, who have to deal with this poor caller who does not speak a word of English, tee hee! Did I just give myself away?

I come from the land that gave birth to Microsoft and the coffee craze, the great state of Washington, but I might as well be a resident of the city that is my home state’s namesake: Washington, D.C.
If you’re a little confused, let me just explain that one of my great interests is politics – and Washington D.C. is, of course, our country’s seat of politics. So don’t be surprised if most of the things that you read from me are posts that involve politicians and the changes that are happening to our laws.
Even if I am basically a resident of Washington state, San Diego is like a second home as I usually go down to attend corporate get-togethers or enjoy well-deserved R & R during the summer months. I am also a big baseball fan – no teams for me, it’s the beauty of the sport that interests me, and I follow through on all the games, regardless of which team is playing against what.
When I go down to San Diego there is a special someone that I do not leave home without — my dog Shadow. Everyone at USNavySEALStore just loves the little fella, and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to brighten people’s day.
I have been into blogging for quite some time, and I have come to a point where I would like to share the things that I have experienced and learned by publishing a book on blogging, which I intend to do in the near future.
