Veterans and military spouses who will attend a military and spouse career fair in Washington D.C., hosted by the Military Officers Association of America, will be able to enjoy free child care during the event.

The free career fair will feature about 100 employers, including Amazon, Raytheon Company, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin. The career fair will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Hall D, from 10 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon on Tuesday, April 24.

There is no need to pre-register for the fair itself, although those who are attending the event may opt to pre-register for child care. Those who prefer to pre-register may provide the parents’ name, as well as the names and ages of the children that will be placed in child care, via e-mail. E-mails may be sent to moaaspouse@moaa.org.

Everyone who is attending the career fair will be eligible for child care, and walk-in child care is available for participants who did not pre-register.

The career fair is open for active duty, retired, former, and reserve and National Guard members, as well as their spouses. This is the first time that MOAA combined the spouse symposium with the career fair.

Seminars have been scheduled for 8 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. There are seminars that have been tailored for military spouses, although seating is limited for these sessions. Spouses are required to send in RSVPs for these sessions.
