The deadline for online applications for the financial counselor fellowship program for military spouses is set for midnight Eastern Time today, Saturday, March 31.
Through the Military Spouse Fellowship Program, military spouses receive the education and training that they need, in order to earn the designation of Accredited Financial Counselor. The program, which was launched seven years ago, has catered to 314 spouse fellows.
To date, spouse fellows have logged more than 306,000 hours towards assisting military families in achieving their financial goals. They are able to do this by serving at family centers, credit counseling and tax centers, financial aid offices, and credit unions, as financial counselors.
The FINRA Investor Education Foundation serves as the sponsor for the fellowship, along with the National Military Family Association, as well as the National Military Family Association and the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education.
