Nearly 25% of children in our country live in households struggling to make ends meet and provide food for everyone. Many of these children wake up hungry, go to school hungry, and sleep hungry. This condition affects how these children grow up as productive citizens with the capacity to help alleviate their family’s situation. The lack of nutrition can stunt a child’s intellectual development and hinder a child’s ability to effectively interact with others.
