July 3 marked the beginning of a new life together for a Navy SEAL and a Fox News anchor. Jenna Lee, co-host of Fox News Channel’s Happening Now, tied the knot with Navy SEAL Leif Babin, at Old Glory Ranch in Wimberley, Texas.
Lee shared the following sentiment with PEOPLE: “At first I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep it together… But once the moment arrived, I didn’t shed a single tear!”
It was, indeed, a day filled only with smiles, as the couple exchanged marriage vows before 225 guests in a Christian ceremony. This was followed by a Texas-inspired celebration, featuring a menu consisting of Pan de Campo, the official bread of Texas; hamburgers; sliders; and sweet potato fries with Habanero ketchup. For dessert, guests were treated to an assortment of cupcakes; it certainly was a menu that deviated from what many would consider as a traditional wedding feast.
Guests also got to enjoy frozen pink margaritas, a beverage that was reminiscent of the couple’s first date; Lee and Babin had shared a frozen pink margarita that day, PEOPLE shared.
The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away, at least until midnight. Guests held sparklers as they saw the couple off, who drove away in a 1946 Mercury convertible.
Lee shared further: “One of the most fun parts of the night was to sit down on the stairs in my dress and watch everyone have such a great time… walking down the aisle with Leif was a dream come true.”
