Those who have been following the case of Navy SEALs Matthew McCabe, Julio Huertas and Jonathan Keefe may be interested in the news that Rep. Dan Burton (R – Indiana) and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R – California) are hosting a press conference that will call for their exoneration. The following details were provided by a post on the KokomoPerspective.com: that at 3PM Thursday, March 4, 2010, a press conference will be held at The Capitol Visitors Center, Room HVC-201 in Washington D.C.
Along with Reps. Burton and Rohrabacher, the following people are also expected to be at the gathering: Ret. USMC Lt. Neal Puckett and Mr. Haytham Faraj, attorneys for Matthew McCabe; retired U.S. Navy SEAL Captain Larry Bailey; and over a dozen retired Navy SEALs and other special forces personnel.
According to a news feature on CNSNews.com, the petitions that were circulated by the offices of Rep. Burton and Human Events have gathered more than 40,000 and 118,000 signatures for a total of more than 160,000 people.
Both petitions call for the dropping of the charges brought against McCabe, Huertas and Keefe. The article shared that the petitions “will be sent to Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Maj. Gen. Charles T. Cleveland, commanding general of Special Operations Command Central, who ordered the court martial, and to Admiral Gary Roughead, chief of Naval Operations.”
Navy SEAL Matthew McCabe will also be at the March 4 gathering, according to CNSNews; Julio Huertas and Jonathan Keefe, however, are not expected to be there.

If these HEROES are not EXONERATED I am ashamed that America is my home country. There is no place for Political Correctness where war,esp War on Terrorism, is concerned.

The US Navy SEALs are my heroes and it is a real shame that these men have been treated this way. I give my full support for these men. my heroes. What can I do to show my support?

I cannot believe that the word of terrorists is being used to base charges against these men. I also find it hard to believe that the egos of senior officers is so fragile that just the possibility that they haven’t been told the truth is grounds to destroy unit cohesiveness and create chaos in the special operations community. God save us from PC and the jackasses that promote this hogwash!!!!

What has become of this country??? Brave servicemen, responsible for capturing TERRORISTS, on trial because he (they) may have “punched” him? These TERRORISTS mutilated and displayed AMERICANS by hanging them from a bridge!!!
WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! Honor these men; honor your Country or get the hell out!

The charges seem to be failure to protect the prisoner… Well, didn’t the a-hole make it into detention alive? So, he was protected.
The officers who originally brought the charges and all who have piled on in the process are not worthy of the silver or gold that is perched on their collars. They all deserve a good ass kicking.
I used to be fairly enthusiastic about recommending the Armed Forces, and in particular The USN to younger folks, but not now. The dangers of the body politic have degraded the tradition and honor of The Service. The politicians who run the service (not the Congress, but the ring knocking, self centered, ass kissers in the Pentagon) have a lot to learn, or unlearn as the case may be. There are still a few of the Greatest Generation living who could straighten them out, but they would not listen…
Pray for our troops and write to our “leaders” (that’s a whole other hair ball) letting them know your concern. Hopefully the charges will be dropped.

POLITICAL CORECTNESS has no place in our form of Government.
It is time for the “ORIGINAL EARLY AMERICAN HISTORY BOOK” to be returned to all levels of EDUCATION. “TO MY COUNTRY RIGHT
OR WRONG, BUT MAY SHE EVER BE RIGHT”, “GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH”,”I REGRET THAT I HAVE BUT ONE LIFE TO GIVE TO MY COUNTRY.” These QUOTE’s are from our FORE-FATHERS who left other forms of GOVERNMENT. These QUOTES also infleuenced me to serve twenty-one (21) years with the UNITED STATES NAVY. SHAME on all that do not join in the support of all our defenders, past, present and future. For those that were not taught from my history book, please do yourself a favor, find it, read it and learn how this NATION has become THE GREATEST NATION in this WORLD. FREEDOM is not free. IT comes by HARDSHIPs. GOD BLESS US ALL……………..
OR WRONG, BUT MAY SHE EVER BE RIGHT.” gIVE

If the SEALs are punished for capturing terrorists, what’s that make the punishers? By all means: you will not fail. May the Grandfrogger watch over us all. There are reasons why the SEALs were created and done so with no less foresight than the original plankowners of this USA had.
