Navy Ships Complete Operations in Haiti

USS NassauThe USS Nassau Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) has departed from Haiti and moved on to its original deployment before it was diverted to Haiti after the country was struck by a devastating earthquake. The USS Nassau left Haiti on Feb 7 and has gone on to its deployment to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area of responsibility (AOR). The Nassau provided medical assistance to Haiti.

In addition, the USS Normandy and the USS Underwood also wrapped up operations in Haiti. Both ships and their respective personnel assisted in the delivery of food and water as well as in medical evacuations.
