After writing about the Navy SEALs for quite some time, there is one thing that we know for sure: they are the men to turn to when the going gets tough. Their missions are hardly child’s play – even for them.
A feature on the Washington Times tells of one such mission. It involved six Navy SEALs and focused on one man, a man that has eluded many for quite some time and is thought to be behind the brutal murder of four U.S. citizens. He was said to be holed up in a safe house in Anbar province and slept – if he could sleep, that is – with a revolver under his pillow.
They reportedly traveled to the location by helicopter and were set down miles away from the target. They surprised the suspect in his sleep that he hardly had time to pull the revolver that was indeed under his pillow. It did not take much to restrain him, and he was eventually taken to a landing site where a helicopter took him and the SEALs to Camp Schweidler.
The SEALs had just captured one of the most-wanted terrorists in Iraq. According to a source, they expected to get a medal.
What they – or at least half of them – got were court-martials and assault charges.
This source, along with several others, talked to the Washington Times and called that mission “one of the most successful captures” in the Iraqi War. But now, it has turned into a nightmare, not just for the SEALs who have been charged but to their comrades as well.
So, can we really blame the general public for being outraged?

This just absolutly sickens me I’m in shock. There has to be something that we as the people can do about this, please post something…an address people can write to, a telephone number, a place to rally against the people the brought these charges forth! This may seem like common knowledge to most of the people on this board but I assure you there are far more people like myself that just don’t understand what is going on but who would do something if they were awakened like I have just been! I am so outraged right now, like I said it just sickens me. Im angry because what can I do as just one person?? Help me to make our voices matter, don’t just sit around and let this happen!!!!!!! We should be able to DO something about this!!
