The Structure of a Navy SEAL Team

Posted September 13th, 2009 by USNavySeals

The efficiency of Navy SEAL teams relies a lot on how each team is structured. According to available reports, there are eight teams confirmed stationed in the Navy SEAL base in California. They can be deployed at any time for any mission and they can strike with the utmost precision. Each member of the team is chosen for his special skill-set, and when the members of the team come together with their special talents, they are invincible.

The basic Navy SEAL platoon is composed of 16 men, usually divided into four groups. Two of these men would be officers taking charge of the team. The platoon is just one part of the Navy SEAL team, which would be composed of 40 men making up three task units. When the Navy SEAL goes into operation, the task units are assisted by a large support staff that can amount to 300 personnel.

My God Father says he was a USNavy SEAL.

I asked him why he never wore underwear.
He said no self respecting frogman would ever wear underwear.

What is their reason, if it is a fact?

He mentioned something about squivvie (sp) check or whatever?

    Thank you very much

My step son a E5 in EOD in VA upon his 3 enlistment was offered training in Little Creek Va with Seal Team 8… He completed his training and is now apart of that team/group where he also received very high marksmenship awards during his training. His mom and I are so proud of him and when asking him what he will be doing, he notes, right now I will be learning how to handler a Humvee in sand and in snow and also learn how to handle a Mark V but didn’t eloborate any further on what his role is.

Proud that we have fine men protecting us…
