10 Ways to Spot a Fake US Navy SEAL

BDU-2aThere are certainly a lot of unscrupulous people out there who would not hesitate to pass themselves as US Navy SEALs just to cheat someone or get a job. However, there are a number of ways by which you can spot if someone who claims him/herself as a Navy SEAL is telling the truth.

For one, there are no female members of the Navy SEAL. They do not accept women into their ranks. For another, a Navy SEAL does not glorify himself. He does not take pleasure in talking about his missions and portraying himself as a hero. Neither does he like the idea of killing people even if his missions make it inevitable.

A real Navy SEAL also does not advertise the fact that he is one. He does not wear his uniform or his medals when he is off-duty. Also, he would be able to tell you his class number, the name of his superiors and a few details about his missions without giving the excuse that these missions are classified.
