When people not associated with the Navy SEALs think about this elite group they generally focus their attention on one thing: weapons. When you mention Navy SEALs to someone outside of the military they immediately begin discussing the guns and other unique weapons which these soldiers use.
However, all Navy SEALs know that their greatest weapon is not the gun or knife in their hands. A Navy SEALs greatest weapons are their bodies and their minds. Without proper physical fitness and constant working out, a Navy SEAL would never be able to accomplish their job.
All Navy SEALs are required to undergo strenuous physical training before they can even be accepted into the Navy SEALs. A specific test known as the PRT or Physical Readiness Test, is a strenuous exercise drill that features a variety of exercises that must be accomplished in an allotted period of time. Many people who attempt this test fail instantly.
Once a person has become an official Navy SEAL the training never stops. All Navy SEALs are required to stay in peek physical condition. This is one of the main reasons that the Navy SEALs have very strict qualifications that all applicants must meet before volunteering to become a Navy Seal.
For instance, there are strict age guidelines involved in the Navy SEALs. You must fall between a specific age bracket. All Navy SEALs must generally be under the age of 28. This is due to the fact that the body begins to change as a person ages. The older you get the harder it becomes to keep your body in peek condition.
