The Navy UDT-SEAL Museum, located in Fort Pierce, Florida, aims to preserve the glorious history of the Navy SEALs and to encourage public education through a unique opportunity to see and ‘experience’ Naval operations and warfare. The museum is known as the “Birthplace of the Navy Frogman”.
Each year, the museum holds a Veterans Day Celebration, also called the “Muster”. This year, they are revving up for the 23rd Annual Muster set on November 15, 2008.
This year’s celebration begins with the traditional 5K Beach Run/Walk Fundraiser at 7 AM. A ceremony, to demonstrate the extreme parachuting abilities of the US Navy Parachute Team and the intense fighting skills of the US Navy SEALs, follows. The Leapfrogs will be jumping from a height of around 12,000 feet and then gliding 2 to 3 miles, while the SEALs will be featuring building assault, sniper operations and other scenarios typical of their missions.
Richard Machowicz, host of “Future Weapons” in the Discovery Channel and author of “Unleash the Warrior Within: Develop the Focus, Discipline, Confidence and Courage You Need to Achieve Unlimited Goals”, will be this year’s speaker. Aside from Machowicz, several SEALs from all over the country are expected to attend the event.
Some of the famous Navy SEALs expected to be in attendance are Richard Marcinko who founded SEAL Team 6 and authored the popular “Rogue Warrior” series, Rudy Boesch who was a participant in the hit TV series “Survivor: Borneo”, and Marcus Luttrell who authored the bestselling book “Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10”.
A lot of people are already very excited to take part in this activity, as well to try the Navy SEAL Accelerator. You can check the event’s schedule by clicking here.
